*** Haus der Kulturen der Welt: Forum1 Archive *** ----------------------------------------------------------------------- [Date]: Fri, 10 Dec 1999 14:03:20 +0100 [From]: "die.tipse" [To]: Cultural Exchange via Internet [Subject]: Re: [forum1] Re: Access dear ami and others. sure internet wont clever up each mind immediately. and as in every medium the colorful and lower themes are most sold. physically - on the real streets i mean - you also have to look for the small and hidden peaces of interesting culture pieces or politically critic art. same it is in the net. but all the small diamonds you find within a mass of themes you are not intersted in. and not only in your hometown - globally! to talk to somebody on the other side of the wold is same expensive as a local talk. that the internet users agreed into english conversation you can call it imperialism...but its the easiest and most forthgoing possibility to talk in realtime with every culture around (even americans are able to speak it :-). this direct conversation via internet is in my opinion not the key for eden but on step into the direction of tolerance and clearness. furthermore you can find incredible shocking things and incredible crazy mind products. but as it is usual in germany all queer minds shall be hidden in the dark. when nobody speaks about it, its not existing. but those closing-eye-infront-of-the-reality-politics built up a totally misunderstanding society of clean people with deep thoughts. if you start to establish a responsible person to censor, you also agree into the choice of another persons point of morality, interest and other experiences. government and industry will know exactly, whom to give such a position. even in thunderstorm optimistic jan
