This is sort of a sideways tie-in, but that exhibition has inspired a great many young Chinese artists. They haven't seen the exhibition but they have devoured the catalog, and there have been many instances where they have outdone "Sensation" with the extent of the shock value of their art. Where British artists made installations with dead animals, Chinese artists have been able to use dead humans and live animals. Frankly, I am glad I have not been in Beijing at the right time to see those exhibitions, because I would have felt compelled to help the animals, but I don't know if I would have been able to. But anyway, suffice it to say that "Sensation" has had far-reaching effects.
