Dear Forum-members,
I would like to draw your attention to the work and ideas of Ingo Gunther

Gunther approaches art like a form of journalism.
"Worldprocessor" is part of three projects that are a central point in his
work and are constantly developing, such as "Refugee Republic" 1995
http://www.republik.com, a project that mainly takes shape on the internet.
It attempts to create a supranational and -territorial model state that
draws attention to the issue of refugees and statelessness. What started as
a art-project may become real in the future!

"100 Globes" -the world imagined in facts:
statistic facts of the international community poor/rich; war/peace;
underdevelopment/technoculture; ecology/pollution; hunger/ overconsumption

PS - We are thinking about a Refugee Store and a Refugee TV Channel.  A US
based DBS channel will become available soon we were offered a slot.  Not
clear yet how to tie that all in - but the first Refugee Store may actually
be in Den Haag if Stroom (counsil's Art Foundation ed.) plays ball.  It may
be something like a travel agency with a Refugee info center and refugee
made and tested items.. and with artworks from people like Lucy Orta and
Krysztof Wodicko  etc..
