I have never known the application of binary terminology to be anything more than reductive, and I do not see much benefit to reductiveness in relation to the complexity of the environment from which art work arises. To believe that an art work is "good" only when it has received awards, in itself, blindly overlooks the politics at play in the process of assessing works for awards.. I thought art was about engaging an audience, not about awards... ie: that it's worth lies outside the domain of itself....???
