Robert, the century end is December 31, 2000!  We started count at AD 1 meaning the first day of year one A.D.  Therefore the close of this millennium will be December 31, 2000 and the beginning of the next will be Jan. 1, 2001.  If this is the case you are operating one year in advance.  Peace.
