I don't know whether I missed the mentioning of a similar discussion going

How could media art be distinguished from other art forms? 

Could media art theoretically be understood in one definite 
model or should one search for various possibilities and / or 
models? 

Do media arts inherent qualities require a specific manner of 
exhibition? 

How does media art interact with the exhibitions space as 
such? 

Why should media art be presented in isolated way, i. e. in 
specific institutions and exhibitions. 

Could it be true that media art offers a meta critical perspective 
on images tell about the world (constructed by media culture) 
within our visual culture? 

What is the relationship between theory and media art i.e. how 
should theory relate itself to media art
