Our agency is all volunteer but we have a website that will be around forever and one year. It is devoted to a Multi-Cultural mission. If volunteers can help to maintain this list I see no reason, yet, why it could not reside on our website. I am looking into this. The responses of the present maintainer, and present list memebers are, of course, most important. What is the work needed to do this and is it possible to enlist volunteers to accomplish it? This last question is the one that will determine possibility. We also have pages up that help those building and promoting websites. Our http://www.art-teez.org/pro.htm page has links to help check html code, spelling, your links to be sure they work, informative newsletters on promoting a website and other information. http://www.art-teez.org/school.htm has four articles on designing your website to rank higher on major search engines. http://www.art-teez.org/se.htm has links to many large and small search engines and to the most important newletter on search engines. We put these pages up to help artists promote their sites. Building a community over time is the only way to build a future for your site on this expanding Internet. If you believe in "Post it and they will come" eventually you will discover "Post it only and it will Die". Continuous construction, change and designing hooks to keep visitors interested and returning is the only way to survive and thrive. This mailing list is a community. It should not be lost. Work went into building it. Thanks for reading. Chris Drew Uptown Multi-Cultural Art Center http://www.art-teez.org We dress Chicago and the Internet in t-shirt art. Come get some! 773/561-7676
