The exhibtion:

"Zebra Crossing revives the 1950s' notion of psychogeography: a mental combination of objective and subjective points of view which makes it possible to rethink urban structures spontaneously and collectively."
Magali Arriola, curator

The exhibit describes the shift in current geopolitical borders and casts the urban Moloch as a gigantic wish machine. The works by the young generation of Mexican artists reflect breaks and discontinuities in their own lives and immediate surroundings. They regard urban structures from a subjective point of view, discover places in which the potential for play can unfold, and carry out an archaeology of ephemera in public spaces.

Zebra Crossing will show works, some created on-location in Berlin, by:
Artemio, Eduardo Abaroa, Iñaki Bonillas, Stefan Brüggemann, Aldo Chaparro, Claudia Fernandez, Thomas Glassford, Silvia Gruner, Enrique Jezik, Gonzalo Lebrija, Luis Miguel Suro, Teresa Margolles, Carlos Ranc, Pedro Reyes, Melanie Smith, Sofía Táboas, Pablo Vargas Lugo, Miguel Ventura and the groups Tercero 1/5, Ediciones El Chino.

The curator Magalí Arriola developed the exhibit in collaboration with architects, artists and sociologists. The partner for this exhibit is the Mexican art scene's best known talent-promoter, the Museo del Arte Carillo Gil in Mexico City.
