The video forum of the Neuer Berliner Kunstverein, founded in 1972, maintains an extensive, publicly accessible video archive and organizes regular meetings - every Wednesday - with international video artists. For its 300th anniversary, the weekly video forum meeting has invited the artists Lamia Joreige, Jumana Emil Abboud and Jananne Al-Ani. All three work permanently or occasionally in Europe and examine images of the Other in relation to their homelands, in particular Western clichés about women in Arab societies.
